In EFL schools, we not only teach the language but also the culture. Forms of address, greetings, formulas, and other words that our kids encounter in conversations or from role models, as well as allusions to cultural characteristics in literature, all serve as examples of cultural knowledge. Speakers should keep suitable distances and use gestures to promote awareness of cultural differences. When students discover that there are various methods to communicate their emotions, needs, and wants and when they study literature from other cultures, their intellectual curiosity is stimulated and satisfied. To fully understand culture, it is crucial to understand how these patterns interact with one another and where they sit within the cultural system. Language learners must understand the tremendous impact that their own cultural norms have on their thoughts, behaviours, and ways of linguistic expression in addition to the cultural factors that are at work in other people’s behaviour. This is necessary if they are to communicate personally with people from other cultural backgrounds. Language is inextricably linked to the culture in which it is deeply ingrained. The classroom will incorporate cultural components via listening to native speakers speak, reading original literature, and looking at pictures of native speakers taking part in outdoor activities.
